Le jeune C\u0153lio r\u00eave de conqu\u00e9rir Marianne, \u00e9pouse du juge Claudio. N’osant l’aborder, il tente d’abord d’utiliser l’entremise de la vieille Ciuta, qui n’obtient rien de la jeune femme que l’affirmation de sa fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 conjugale.\u00a0
C\u0153lio se tourne vers un autre entremetteur, son ami Octave, bon-vivant et libertin et cousin du mari de Marianne, Claudio. Marianne reste indiff\u00e9rente \u00e0 C\u0153lio, mais tombe amoureuse d’Octave ; elle lui d\u00e9voile son amour \u00e0 mots couverts et lui fixe un rendez-vous. Octave, d’abord ind\u00e9cis, choisit la loyaut\u00e9 et envoie C\u0153lio au rendez-vous obtenu.\u00a0
Cependant, Claudio soup\u00e7onne l’infid\u00e9lit\u00e9 de sa femme et engage des spadassins pour tuer tout amant qui s’approcherait de la maison. C\u0153lio tombe dans le guet-apens et, mourant, peut croire \u00e0 la trahison de son ami en entendant Marianne, tromp\u00e9e par l’obscurit\u00e9, l’accueillir du nom d’Octave.\u00a0Octave, accabl\u00e9, renonce \u00e0 sa vie de plaisirs et repousse s\u00e8chement l’amour que lui d\u00e9clare Marianne.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

C\u2019\u00e9tait avant tout me plonger dans cette \u00e9criture profonde et pleine de d\u00e9sirs contrari\u00e9s qui m\u2019a fascin\u00e9. D\u00e9couvrir une nouvelle langue pleine de po\u00e9sie qui pourrait sembler parfois abstraite, mais qui est en fait tr\u00e8s organique. Les personnages, qui se d\u00e9battent entre d\u00e9sirs fantasm\u00e9s et d\u00e9sirs forc\u00e9s sont engag\u00e9s dans une ronde troublante. Comme s\u2019ils courraient tous vers le pire dans une sorte d\u2019urgence, sans pourtant le vouloir.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Sublime visuellement, pleine de fougue et de jeunesse, travers\u00e9e d\u2019exaltation et de d\u00e9sirs, sensuelle, la partition romantique de Musset vue par Calvario s\u2019offre ici un souffle puissant<\/em> – Le Parisien<\/strong><\/p>

C\u2019est dans le choix des interpr\u00e8tes que l\u2019\u00e9cho avec la jeunesse en qu\u00eate de rep\u00e8res se fait. Zo\u00e9 Adjani est troublante. Fougueuse et sensible, elle donne au personnage de Marianne une belle densit\u00e9, loin de la jeune fille aga\u00e7ante qui lui colle \u00e0 la peau. Connu pour son personnage de Greg Delobel dans Ici tout commence, Mika\u00ebl Mittelstafdt incarne un Coelio t\u00e9n\u00e9breux et sentimental \u00e0 souhait<\/em> – L\u2019OEil d\u2019Olivier<\/strong><\/p>


Enchainement fatal et quasi racinien d\u2019\u00e9checs sentimentaux dans un texte \u00e0 l\u2019insolence noire, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9criture \u00e9lectrique. Trop peu jou\u00e9 aujourd\u2019hui. Philippe Calvario l\u2019a au moins efficacement mont\u00e9 dans un d\u00e9cor aussi mobile que ses inconstants personnages. Il incarne lui m\u00eame un Octave vieillissant \u00e0 la fougue d\u00e9senchant\u00e9e.
