Londres, 1913. Sylvia participe depuis des ann\u00e9es, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des Suffragettes et de ses amies Emily et Norah, \u00e0 la lutte pour le droit de vote des femmes. Sylvia et ses amies m\u00e8nent un combat contre un gouvernement pr\u00eat \u00e0 tout pour les faire taire…
Depuis le milieu du 19\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, en Angleterre, des groupes de femmes \u0153uvrent pour obtenir l’\u00e9galit\u00e9 politique et leur \u00e9mancipation. En 1908 le mouvement f\u00e9ministe se durcit en m\u00eame temps que l’attitude de la police et du pouvoir politique \u00e0 l’\u00e9gard de ces militantes. Le m\u00e9pris et l’indiff\u00e9rence laissent la place \u00e0 la violence et la r\u00e9pression. Les suffragettes cherchent, par tous les moyens possibles, \u00e0 d\u00e9stabiliser le pouvoir politique en place pour lui faire enfin consid\u00e9rer la question du droit de vote et de l\u2019\u00e9mancipation des femmes. C’est par conviction que Sylvia, Emily et Norah ont rejoint les suffragettes.
